Restaurant obsessives want to know what's new, what's hot, which favorite chef just launched a sophomore effort, etc., and more often than not, tipsters, readers, friends and family of Eater have one question: Where should I eat right now? What is the "it" (ie, newest) place of the moment?
Thus, we offer the Eater Heatmap, which will change often to continually highlight where the food-focused crowds are flocking to at this very second. This time around, we've added a spot so new that it's not even quite open: Umami by Travail, the upcoming pop-up by the Travail team. With the Travail guys hoping to open the pop-up next week, it's already all that food obsessives are talking about in the Twin Ciites. Since it's limited-time only (likely only open through October), it's going on the September Heatmap so you don't miss a single day of pop-up goodness. (And, of course, stay tuned for updates on the opening.)
Did we miss your personal favorite hot, new restaurant? By all means, let us know in the comments or email the tipline.
